Workout Rest Timer is a simple rest interval timer designed for use between workout sets. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Health Data (HealthKit)

Workout Rest Timer requests read-only access to your heart rate data through Apple HealthKit. This data is used solely to display your current heart rate on-screen so you can monitor your recovery between sets.

  • We only read heart rate data — the app never writes to HealthKit.
  • Heart rate data is displayed in real time and is never stored, logged, or cached by the app.
  • Heart rate data is never transmitted off your device. It stays on your iPhone at all times.
  • Heart rate data is never shared with third parties, advertisers, or analytics services.
  • Heart rate data is never used for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than displaying it to you.
  • You can deny HealthKit access at any time. The app works fully without it — the heart rate display simply will not appear.

Data Collection

Workout Rest Timer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

  • No account creation or login is required.
  • No personal information (name, email, location) is collected.
  • No usage analytics or tracking is performed within the app.
  • No cookies or device identifiers are collected.
  • No data is sent to any server. The app works entirely offline.

Local Notifications

The app may request permission to send local notifications to alert you when your rest timer is complete. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any external service.

Timer Settings

Your customized timer durations are stored locally on your device only. This data is not synced, backed up to any server, or shared with anyone.

Third-Party Services

Workout Rest Timer does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no SDKs from Facebook, Google, or any other third party embedded in the app.

Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected at all, the app is compliant with COPPA requirements.
